The hamlet of Nesconset was one of the last sections in the Town of Smithtown to develop being it was so heavily wooded. Even though the community has grown, its natural ambiance has largely remained intact and it has a lot of community spirit. Neighborhoods feature various ranch styles, capes, Colonials as well as newer Colonials and Victorians that sit even now on spacious properties.
Initiated in 1989, “Nesconset Day” is held at Nesconset Plaza (a 15 minute walk from our home), which has 24 stores and restaurants and a public library. You are sure to have fun at this local celebration with its vendors, artisans, and food stands found along the streets with live entertainment generally near the Gazebo.
